Upcoming Coverage on WICB

One third of the Bombers' Basketball schedule, including the bulk of the Empire 8 schedule falls during Ithaca College's winter break. WICB is your only source for all the coverage during that time. All eight games for both teams between January 5-January 22 will be broadcast on 91.7 Fm and WICB.org.

Strong Conference Openers

Both the men and the women posted commanding victories over Hartwick on Friday night to open Empire 8 play.

The men won 96-81. Chris Crux-Rivas scored 25 points and all five starters scored in double figures.

The women won 75-52. Lindsay Brown scored 15 points to lead the way.

Men Rally Past Dragons

The Men's Basketball team rallied from an eight-point deficit at the half and defeated Cortland 76-75. Sean Rossi led the way with 18 points for Ithaca. The win was the first for the Bombers at home this season after they dropped their home opener a week ago.

Katharine Bixby Joins 1000 Point Club

Katharine Bixby scored a career high 28 points in the Bombers' 60-55 loss to Cortland State last night. In the process Bixby crossed the 1000 point mark for her career. Bixby is the 10th women's basketball player to score 1000 points in her career and the first since Sue Kelly reached the mark in 2007.
